In the latest bite-sized Pint of Perspective—which we’re lovingly calling Half-Pint of Perspective—we talk to Greene King Estate Manager, Peter. A passionate member of our Ability employee-led inclusion group (ELIG) with very personal reasons for wanting to join, Peter is a dedicated and focused ally to candidates and employees who live with disabilities.
In this podcast, you’ll hear Peter discussing the importance of Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace in general, as well as how companies can overcome—or, at least, compensate for—some of the challenges facing disabled people at work. He talks about how his twin brother, who has cerebral palsy, provided the inspiration for him to go beyond the remit of his day job and invest his time in disability allyship at work.
Anyone inspired by Peter’s story, which we hope you will be, can find out more about how to join Greene King and take part in our ELIGs by exploring our careers site after listening. We hope you get as much out of hearing this podcast as we did in making it. Don’t forget to check out other episodes of Pint of Perspective on Spotify and Apple Music.
